With the introduction of the Australian Curriculum for primary schools in Foundation to Year 6, QLD, WA and SA schools are asking us, “What about year 7?”.

To assist our iMaths schools with this situation, iMaths 7 (1st edition) Student and Tracker Books will remain available for purchase in 2012, alongside the new iMaths National Edition, Foundation to Year 6 series.

iMaths 7 shares the fundamental philosophy of the Australian Curriculum – giving maths real-life relevance through investigations. Using the iMaths 7 Student Book together with free additional downloadable resources will ensure that teachers can cover all the requirements of the Australian Curriculum.

The following additional downloadable resources will be available at iMaths Online for classes booklisting the iMaths 7 Student Book:

• Additional Topics to meet the content strands of the Australian Curriculum
• Problem solving strategies
• Mental computation strategies
• Suggested yearly plan
• PDF version of the iMaths 7 Teacher Book

These additional resources will be available late in 2011, for the 2012 school year.

This is an interim measure as we will release an iMaths 7 Australian Curriculum Edition for the 2013 school year.
