The iMaths National Edition program now extends from Foundation right through to Year 7 to support schools in Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia who have Year 7 in primary school. This will allow schools to benefit from the whole school approach.
As per our Foundation to Year 6 program, iMaths 7 National Edition comprehensively addresses the content and proficiency strands of the Australian Curriculum. The curriculum has a strong focus on developing deeper understanding of content through the real-life application of maths and the most effective way to achieve this is through iMaths Investigations.
In a departure from iMaths Foundation to Year 6, the year 7 program has been specifically designed as a linear program to help students prepare for their transition to secondary school.
The following materials will be available late in 2012, for the 2013 teaching year:
- Student Books
- Student Tracker Books
- Teacher Books (includes one year’s access to iMaths Online).
The online content will include BLMs, projectable Student Book pages, projectable teaching and learning pages for every Topic, downloadable rubrics, term review assessment items and student logins to imathskids.com.au. Digital packages will also be available for non-textbook schools.
