Maths Trek Online: Virtual Tours

Maths Trek 22/10/25

There’s so much to explore in Maths Trek Online! Home to lesson guides, teaching slides, interactive tools, videos and exemplars, the program supports explicit instruction across topics, problem-solving strategy and investigation—making classroom teaching simple and effective.

To help you get the most out of the platform, we’ve created a series of short videos that guide you through key features and provide a clear overview of the resources.

Maths Trek is available in two curriculum editions to suit Australian classrooms: Australian Curriculum Edition and NSW Syllabus Edition. Our suite of online tours uses the Australian Curriculum Edition version, but features are similar in the NSW Syllabus Edition.

Program home

Let’s begin with an overview of the program home. This highlights features that apply to the whole program, from important preparation and planning documents, to professional learning support and interactive tools.

Topics

The Maths Trek program is primarily structured around topics, which serve as a key focus for explicit instruction and learning through teacher-guided and independent activities.

Investigations

In-depth investigations provide valuable opportunities to immerse your students in unfamiliar, extended mathematical problems. From devising a cafe menu to planning a round-the-world trip, students are required to apply their maths knowledge and critical thinking skills to relevant, real-world problems.

Problem-solving

Problem-solving plays a key role in Maths Trek. Embedded throughout the year, you’ll find problem-solving strategies and plenty of practice problems.

Revision

Maths Trek includes regular revision so students can consolidate their learning, and you can monitor their understanding of recently taught maths concepts.
