Yes! We’re pleased to confirm that Firefly online resources have been approved as part of the NSW Online Learning Tools Marketplace.
The Online Learning Tools panel is a mandated panel that helps NSW Public Schools select quality online resources from authorised Online Learning Tool Suppliers.
As an approved supplier, our online resources meet rigorous standards for both curriculum quality and online security.

Keep in mind that the Online Learning Tools Marketplace is specific only to online resources under a selection of criteria determined by the NSW Department of Education. If you are looking for other Firefly products and don’t see them on the list, it doesn’t mean you can’t purchase them. It simply means they are outside the scope of this panel. We have other physical and digital resources, such as Student Books, Charts, Decodable Readers and more, available to explore on our website.

However, for more detailed product information, including links to planning documents such as Syllabus Matches, we recommend you browse our website to view program information and sign up for a free trial.
As an approved supplier, you can purchase our online resources directly through the NSW Online Learning Tools Marketplace.
Once you are logged in to Marketplace, search and select the online resources you wish to buy. Follow the prompts to the EdBuy catalogue (via the connected Unimarket portal) to complete the purchasing process.
Important reminder: Any student product can only be purchased as an add-on to the corresponding teaching resources.
For example, if you wish to purchase Sound Waves Printable Student Book Pages for 22 students, you also need to purchase 1 class licence of the Sound Waves Literacy Online Teaching Resources.
Once you submit your order, it will go into the queue for processing. When the order is processed and your online resources have been activated, our licensing team will email you with a link to set up your teachers, classes and students. We will issue your invoice through the EdBuy (Unimarket) portal and a copy will be emailed to you for reference.*

Note: Some of our NSW Public Schools have chosen to continue purchasing through our standard School Licence Order Form for a more streamlined and convenient process. Please be aware that your chosen purchasing method is your responsibility and ensure you choose correctly to avoid delays. We recommend you contact the NSW Department of Education for clarification on how your school should purchase.

The NSW Online Learning Tools panel only considers eReaders as part of the scope if they include certain criteria and functionality (such as accompanying online activities or individual student book allocation).
Sound Waves Decodable eReaders don’t include this additional digital functionality. (Instead, our eReaders feature printable activities and unlocking of books at a whole-class level.) This doesn’t mean our eReaders aren’t approved, it simply means they aren’t required to be reviewed against the specific Online Learning Tools application criteria.
Sound Waves Decodable eReaders are built on the same online platform as all our other online resources, and therefore meet best practice digital security standards. So, rest assured, NSW schools are still able to purchase Sound Waves Decodable eReaders for their students.
While the Sound Waves Decodable eReaders product is not specifically listed on Marketplace, it is linked in the EdBuy catalogue where you complete the purchase. You can choose to add the Decodable eReaders to your order at this point.
Alternatively, you can first purchase the online resources that are listed on Marketplace. Once your school’s licence is activated, you can follow the prompts in your issued Firefly Class Builder to purchase more products and add the Decodable eReaders for your students.
